Welcome To Carolina Estate Services LLC

The owner, David Holbrook, has been in the estate/resale industry for decades. It all started with Auctionweb, known today as eBay, back in 1996. David was one of the original sellers on eBay who began by selling discontinued products to consumers who needed them. After a few years, he started selling items for others, a role known as a trading assistant. He continued to sell other people’s items online for the next 10 years, utilizing various auction sites and marketplaces like Facebook and Craigslist.

In 2010, David moved to South Carolina. Within the next three months, he opened two thrift stores in Surfside Beach and Myrtle Beach, known as Carolina American Pickers, and a boutique store named Little Treasures in Conway. During this time, David delved deeply into the estate sale industry, handling estate cleanouts, buyouts, and traditional estate sales. In 2019, he managed another company, building their estate sale business from the ground up. Throughout this period, David navigated the ever-changing trends of estate sales. However, when COVID hit in 2019, traditional in-person estate sales ceased, and everything transitioned to an online auction format. David and his team successfully adapted to the new landscape, managing estate sales entirely online while also providing additional necessary services. The experience gained during that challenging time significantly influenced their current approach.

In 2023, David parted ways with that company, became an auctioneer, and established Carolina Estate Services. Today, David offers a turnkey service for families in need of estate services, providing a wide range of services that no one else offers. From estate sale management, appraisals, senior moving, downsizing, and more, David and his team are fully trained and capable.

While the industry has evolved from the past to the present, David has kept up with the growing needs of estate sale services.
